Shanghai Pudi Packaging Material Co., Ltd. stretch film range has always been the foundation of our dedication to providing high quality industrial packaging solutions. Consistency in the quality and performance of each roll we produce is paramount. That’s accomplished through an intensive battery of key quality tests – ensuring the film performs flawlessly before it's ever placed in our customer’s hands. Knowing these tests in and out gives a glimpse of what makes a good stretch film, a must-have for securing and protecting palletized goods during both shipping and storage.
Evaluating Tensile Strength and Elongation
One of our most basic tests is to determine the tensile strength and elongation characteristics of our stretch film. This is important because this directly relates to the film’s loading capacity. Tensile strength is the level of force that the film can endure before breaking. Higher psi indicates that the film is stronger and less likely to break when used in wrapping, particularly for heavy or sharp-edged products. Elongation, meanwhile, is a measure of the film’s resistance to tearing when it is stretched. Our high-quality stretch films that are designed to have up to 300% elongation will enable you wrap your loads lighter and with greater strength by simply reducing the levels of film used in wrapping each pallet.
Assessing Puncture and Tear Resistance
Pallets not only transport goods from the warehouse to their final destination, but they also face destructive hurdles along the way. That's why our quality control includes testing for puncture and tear resistance. Same as for impact resistance, the puncture resistance defines its performance against pointed corners or edges of the goods to be packed. A puncture resistant film doesn't allow tear initiation or propagation. In a like manner tear resistance is a measure of how readily an edge nick or other small tear will propagate through the film. Our advanced manufacturing technology allows our stretch film to have better quality and higher pre-stretch rate with excellent puncture resistance - highly elastic.
Verifying Cling and Load Retention
The art of stretch film wraps is not just at application but longevity. This is where cling and load retention is critical. We carefully test the stick of our film to itself and against various kinds pallets. Stable cling doesn't give out, no untimely breakup before you've wrapped something firmly enough. Ideal for home, office or commercial use. Additionally, we test the film’s load retention required to keep a constant force on the palletized load. This elastic return, or “memory,” is what holds the load tight and secure so that even when the pallet moves during transit due to vibration and shifting, product movement, as well as potential toppling is reduced.
With this comprehensive and rigorous testing program, Shanghai Pudi Packaging can confidently state that every meter of stretch film from our core product series lives up to the highest standards for productivity and dependability. Our quality control commitment ensures that our clients receive a product they can rely on to safely secure their goods and improve operating efficiency while minimizing the risk of in-transit damage.
